Dedicated crafters!

Post by Rhashazi on Mon Jun 25, 2012 6:06 pm

At this moment, most of us are 60s (or getting close to it), the endgame content awaits to be cleared, some neat stuff is also coming in the (let's hope) nearest future - in other words, we need to gear up! And since the best PvE set is from crafting, it would be nice to be able to do it. Especially that there are no known mastercrafters on Samael - this situation is quite different from Essenia. Getting our own mastercrafts can net us some gold in the future and create the possibility to obtain the best items in game. As most of you know, at this point leveling the crafting skills past 250 is VERY EXPENSIVE. Lone for Atra Astrum estimated that they have spent 150-200k gold to level all the crafts to the maximum. A sum that is out of reach for a single person. Some of us already started leveling their crafting skills and hit the wall - around level 280ish. That's the point where, on the leatherworking example, with current broker prices, you need about 5-6k gold for runes only... That's why it is time to show some team spirit!

This topic was mentioned few times before, now I want to really organize it and turn it into a guild project, so we can have a common goal and work on something together once again.

My proposition is as follows:

  • Every craft will have one dedicated person, it can be anyone but for people with the highest skill atm it would be fastest to level further.
Everyone that wants to contribute will give his/her runes and mats to the person crafting corresponding type of armor/weapon, i.e. sorcs and healers for tailoring and focuscrafting. Since runes of Titans are needed in both of them, we will split them or just prioritize one of the crafting skills.
  • We would also need some gold for the standard crafting mats and the merchant ones so chipping some gold to the guild bank would help a lot, even putting 10-50g is a small step forward.
  • As for the T13 designs - they are cheap at the moment, so we don't have to worry about them. The problem is to get the parts for items, like the blades - and those damn stuff drops only from HMs. For this, we will need to grind the hell out of the instances.
  • Next problem here is how we will solve crafting order - either we will individually gather those parts which can take even month, or we will all chip in for one item and then distribute it through a set order (or by our beloved RNG!) but this may render some butthurt feelings Wink.

I can manage distribution of the runes and materials, unless other officer wants to do it Wink. If not, I will post later the way to contribute.

List of our current crafters (pm me on Skype and I'll add you here):

Alchemy:
  • Acharial

Armorsmithing:
  • (...)

Focuscrafting:
  • (...)

Leatherworking:
  • Rhashazi
  • In need of: Kran runes, Archrunes of Titans

Tailoring:
  • Keiki

Weaponsmithing:
  • Thremero

Updated the list, Shelma is inactive so we have a free spot for the armorsmithing.

As for the materials needed, based on my experience (same goes with tailoring and armorsmithing, weaponsmithing needs even more of materials) - first wall hit is around 280ish points. Then you need crapton of archrunes of Arun/Shara together with archrunes of titans and Kran/Rowan runes. Hides for example are pretty cheap and you should have quite some of them collected during your leveling.

If we want crafting going - send materials to the crafters. It would be nice to chip some gold from time to time to guild bank, since we need to buy some designs (for level 280+) and they can be a bit pricey.

To the crafters - poke me on skype what materials are needed for your level, so I will update the list.
