SWTOR - first discussion

Well, time to open a thread concerning that game...
I know that a lot of you will play. Some are awaiting that game as the "NEW" MMO they will settle down, some will try it out. And more will try it out considering that Tera will be released in spring instead of this autumn.

As many of you will play SWTOR, I think it would be great to have a Whitestar guild going on there, or Whitestar sub chanel..or well..you know... that atleast we play together rather than splitted all arround.
But, for once, I'll not be the one organising this, because if I'm playing this game it's only to play it together with you, as I'm not the slightest interested by SWTOR outside the fact of sharing a random game with my friends. So, I suggest that the most motivated, the most passionated take care of this, share their enthousiasm, and organise Whitestar StarWars.

I'm not that much into Swtor. I just wanna try it out and play it until Tera release. I cna't say I'm that much motivated and passionate about it so that would not be me organizing things

I've difficulties to like this game for diverses reasons. However this feature his really great : how to create your guild before the lauch of SWTOR.

If we want to have a Whitestar group in SWTOR, even if it will not be serious-serious, it might be a good idea to create Whitestar in advance.


EDIT : FFS!! Just discovered that a retard had already taken the name of Whitestar!
EDIT 2 : I think it's okay to have 1 same guild name by style (PVE-PVP or RP), the guy who stolen Whitestar name is alone in his guild and have created it on RP. (Bastard)

So I've create a SWTOR account, and I propose to create the guild already. I suggest Republic, PVE. What do you think about that?

PvP-RP as first choice and PvE-RP as second. Also republic all the way. I won't ever play a sith lol XD

There is not such choice. You can choose PVP or PVE or RP. But Whitestar name had already been taken for RP.

I did look into this game but I an unsure if I want to try it. Still on the fence.

I might wait awhile and see what happens.

Same for me, but many Whitestar want to try it out. Some want to play it seriously.

Personally I doubt I'd play a Sci-Fi mmo seriously, but I understand that some people would like to play it more seriously.

I absolutely loved SWG - but this looks very different.

LOTS of RP potential to.

I also want a game I can play seriously. I dont want to spend money on a game and monthly to fill in time.

SWG was awesome and this is nothing like it

Some of us arer playing Lord of the rings online, if you like RP you should considering joining us IT's F2P these days also, with a buy to play option. We formed a Whitestar guild on the Laureline server. I have experience of the game since it came out so feel free to ask me question if you want

Two Whitestar guilds had been created to save the name. One Sith, one Republic. We will obviously vote which side we want, and the leadership will be given to a Whitestar member who really want to play and organise the guild on SWTOR.

Now the people interested by SWTOR should make them known so we can organise this a little bit! Guild can recieve beta keys, but for that, it need to look like a potentiel guild of future dedicated customers ..i guess :p

Luckily, Guild Beta invites are totally random, so it doesn't matter much. Though a couple of members wouldn't hurt ^^,

Not sure I would play the game straight of- probably wait to see how it went for a month or two.

I'm very excited, just to see how the usual Star Wars franchise hype will work.
I'm guessing a lot will do as you, and wait to see.
And as the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in one day, neither was WoW
I believe that this will be a pretty awesome game. It will have it's hiccups, of course, but I'm certain - with enough love from the community and the developers, this game will shine on for years to come.

I applied for beta a couple of months ago. Been following the game forever, but didn't really think that far ahead >_<
So, no beta invites yet

They just announced that the Guild project will hit Phase 2 soon, and along with that , beta invites for random guilds.
In September they are doing major stress tests etc, so they are going to invite a loooot of people, including guilds to see how that will work.

So , Elloa, set up the guild ;>

Also, Acharial and I have saved our name fast, because I read that there was a limited "spot" for same guild names and someone already got a Whitestar guild. But neither him or I want to be leader, nor organise the guild as we will focus on Tera once it's released.
Tuukka, if you want take this in charge, it would be awesome. I'd create a sub forum, like for Tera and everything you need for the Whitestar-SWTOR guild. Maybe Majiin can become your second in command, he seems very motivated by the game aswell, and that's what 's needed for a guild to work! :p


Concerning the game itself, I'm only interested now, because some of my friends are.
I'm not fan of science-fi, I don't like the graphism style at all (it's really a question of taste here) and the class and combat are not appealing to me. + it's a concurent to Tera so GRRR boycot (well..kidding)
But, it will be new, it will be released before Tera, so I'll have between 3 and 5 month to try it out before to play Tera. Then we will see what I'll do. Maybe it will be so fun that I'll continue in addition of Tera. Who know.

I'm not sure about what I'll play as I've not read so much, but i'm considering Jedi Consular.
