Dragon Age

I'm playing DragonAge now. I had started last year when I had some troubles with my webconnection. I liked it, but well, was a solo game and it could not compete with what I had to do in World of Warcraft and Minecraft at that time.
But now, I really feel like playing. I'm involved in the story and it's really immersing. I've a bit of troubles with the combat system, but once I will get used to it, it will be fine.
What I really like on Dragon Age is the interaction between the character! This is really awesome, and if that kind of "roleplay" is included in SWTOR, this will just be amazing! :p

I've make a warrior character, and I've just finished the Tower of the Circle of Magi. I've managed to get good reputation with Alistair (he do care about Elloa now ) but I've very much difficulties to get Morigan like me. I just got a Neutral +13 after have given her a super gift Everytime I'm taking a quest or taking a descision, she disagree with me, it's depressing! I guess I just don't fit her.

I always wanna play evil on that game, but always mess things up and become more and more nice instead XD For Morrigan to like you without gifts, you kinda need to be a bit badass and do things for greed or sth like that. Be more evil and she'll love ya!

On the other hand, if you're more evil the others won't like as much

Mass Effect has the same interaction and Swtor will be more like Mass Effect interaction than Dragon Age.

I'm playing a warrior, dual wield spec. My first character was a healer -__-, it was a bit boring, I also didn't wanted to have the same opening again in the Tower of Magi, that's why I made warrior instead. But I think I prefer mage. Good thing I got Morrigan in my team. I like the control of mage.

Apparently I've not hardened Allistair, of course not, because I choosed the "nice answer : don't worry, some other do care for you - I do care for you" and not "everyone is for himself" blablabla shit stuff.
I don't want he broke up with my character QQ !!!!! I should have not browse the web! Bad bad bad myself. I'll just stop for now. Need to finish that game !! Raaahhh!!

Well, atleast I'm really roleplaying it. I don't accept Zevran in my team cause I don't want a Don Juan saying that I'm a sex goddess in presence of Allistair. I'm always answering as I see my character would answer! And I'm quite proud, because I got Allistair declare him to me without to do anything special. (huhu I was so surprised when it happened - i guess I was too much into the story,blushing and everything ) I've only give him one gift, and he declared himself the first time I was in Denerim, so I guess it's pretty early in the game. I never got him disaprove me ever I think.
Bah ! I like this story, I really can't wait to continue, and to see how it will end ! I really hope Allistair will nto broke up with my character !! :'( I'd be sad for real I think!

Stupid retard Alistair! My character did so much for him : supporting, comforting, fighting, defending his honnor blablablabla...And so he is king and what ? "I need a woman to bear my child. you are tainted by the Darkspawn!! " Man..seriously. Once the archedemon is dead, Elloa will leave this king and travel with Lelianna ! Tssssss tssssss!!!!! >

I knew I should have choosen to ally with the queen... Well, still got my save if I really want to change it. but i'm not sure I want ti anymore. Stupid AListair!

Poor Elloa. Allistaire is a fucked up mess deep inside ^^; He showed you his true side!!

SPOILER -SPOILER-SPOILER -SPOILER

So well, I had keep my save and I tried the other option.So now I've two story possibilities :

1. Elloa have allied with the Queen, so Alistair doesn't need to be the king (he is relieved), but during the Landsmeet, Elloa betray her words to the Queen, do not choose her as promised, and choose instead "Alistair is the king and I rule beside him" (mouhahahaha, it has been said in front of everyone, he can not escape huhuhu). And here, well, the ending is nice for my character.
Only bad side, Elloa had firstly chit chat with Lelianna, who confessed to be in love with Elloa. So it had been accounted as I had accepted this relationship - which I didn't, btw. Then Alistair ask me to broke up with her (but I've never be with her WTF), Lelianna is heart broken, good I had saved a Andraste flower to comfort her, regain affection points and still be the best friends ever! OMG what a story! The dialogues were a bit buggy too...I guess I didn't did exactly thinsg in the order it was supposed to be.

2. In the other story, Alistair feel forced to broke up with my character to follow his duty of king (then I feel stupid to have fought for him XD XD) "Let's stop to speak together. To be with you is to painful and too tempting" (But let yourself tempted, stupid!!!)
So, heart broken, Elloa go get some comfort to her friend Lelianna, who suddendly confess her love etc etc...

So yeah basicly I got the romantic story : the two Wardens saving and ruling the world together ...Or the bitter story : "man are too stupid, let's stay between women".
I honnestly prefer the first one. The second one is too bitter for my taste, even if it's less classical, and with more unexpected turns.

Morale of the story : to realise your dreams, you can't follow a fully honnourable path. Strict honnour and duty lead to suffering. You are forced to do some trick on the way and break the rules. Like go back on the words you have given...
What I learn from this is that I may be a bit naive sometimes.... Loyal good is not good for health. Chaotic good is better

It's good to hear you liked your story development. In my case it was option nr. 2 + no Lelianna.

In a way it's a bit too bad that if you really follow the "nicest" choice always, you got fecked in the end, instead of beeing rewarded because you had always behaved honnestly, with compassion and understanding. But it's also more realistic unfortunately. WHen you behave like a Saint, you also need to be prepared to face painful lose, and be able to accept it. That's the teaching of buddhism. Accept the changes, accept the non eternety of everything, not staying attached to result...

True, have you considered playing the follow-up or will you take a break? ^^

Need to fight the Archdemon first now. But I think i'll take a break once my character get married! :p

OMG omg!! I finished Dragon Age (first time ever that I finish a game). It ended very well, after some loooong fights ! Yippee, no one died, Elloa marry Alistair <3 Was a bit disapointed there was not a very cheezy passionated kiss at the end. Would have deserved it after so much fight. But despite this cruel missing ending, it was a very enjoyable game! Huhuhu !!
