Companions - okay now they completly got me !

Joke asside : I'm extremly enthousiast about this feature I really didn't care about before, because I had given my loyalty to Tera, and because I didn't had experimented so much Dragon Age at that point.
So, well... seeing the whole Start War game, with everything, including your own set of companions, and everything that's included, you will really be able to spend your life in the game.

Seem very fun, can't wait about it!

OHh companions will do your crafting, you can change their looks, armour and how they act - this sounds good. I am glad they brought that aspect from DA;O in where you can influence them with gifts ^^!

I need Jawa as a playable race !

It seems that we will have a lot of companions. But I thought each class would have his own companion (jawa for the bounty hunter...). Did it change ?

No it didn't change. Each class got their own set of companions. They migth add more companions later. Also they will add same gender romance, but not at release I think.

I've been told Allistair would be a consular companion in the late game.

My advice : Empire got the best companion from far. I really love Sith warrior and Bounty Hunter list of companion. I'm quite happy about the Imperial Agent too. The Smuggler also got some nice ones.
