Forsaken World
When im searching for a new game to play, i want to have something that ofc looks interesting when you first lay eyes on it. A picture says more than a thousand words. Something that is easy to learn when you start to play it, and a game that is still interesting after the first lvls. And a plus is that its free. If you dont count the cool pets and mounts and other things. Its the same as wow rly, you can get all of this ingame, but certain stuff u need to pay real money for if you choose it.
One year ago i found such a game called Perfect World, it suited me excellent. But when i reached higher lvls i discovered that the game went from being amazing to just messy. Still looks very good and all, but its tricky to learn whats beyond lvl 20 and i lost my interest.
One day my friend told me about another game, i recall this to be in January, and i didnt payed much attention to him, since he kinda picks out the game which brings modern war and such. The game was Forsaken World. When i had a look into it few days ago i discovered that it is the same developers from Perfect World, Perfect World got a babysister.
I downloaded it and started it up. I got hooked.
The game is ofc familiar to World of Warcraft, and that is great, its a ui simple to learn and its easy to interact with NPC's or other players.
The first 10 lvls goes quick, and you have help all along the way if you choose it. I think its very helpful. Sometimes being a new player can be a bit frustratiing when you dont have anyone to ask and cant find a good answer on the forums. Press the letter "H" and it will bring up the Helpwindow. It lists what is major for your new lvl. What quests you can take, what instances you should do for gear, getting rich or continue to lvl up. If you have any new skills to learn etc etc. When you reach lvl 20 you get a free mount and talentpoints to spend. My Kindred Vampire is a mix between a Shadowpriest/Warlock. Theres a tree for better heals, for better mana efficient Dmg, and a DoT-tree, according to the forums ive read so far.
I believe i will continue to write more about this great game as soon as i have venture in it further and know more about it.

And a video. Of the Races and classes, starting up and some bits from my Kindred Vampire.

Re: Forsaken World
The screenshots make this look like a complete ripoff of WoW, although the characters look very different. What are the quests like?
Also: I like the way dwarves look and move in WoW. In fact, I like the way most avatars look in WoW (except Taurens, which don't really have faces). Can you make more solid-looking female avatars in FW? That dwarf looked like a gnome/manga thing... :s

Re: Forsaken World
well ofc its a ripoff of wow, almost every mmo are these days since wow has a gameplay that works and are easy to learn. "Why fix something that isnt broken" The quests are as they always are -.^ kill some mobs here, talk to this guy here.
Havnt checked into dwarfes that much, will give an answer when i have.
Edit: Sorry nani, the dwarf female faces still looks like dolls, and for me thats ok. and i dont even think they look like gnomes either. I dont want to play a game which i compare to WoW all the time, i want to play it and experience its own personality.

I have to say, I've become quite addicted to this game now. It's a welcome change from WoW, the different graphics are appealing and the way everything works is quite relaxing!

Re: Forsaken World
I'm currently level 25 and I think Jo is nearing 35. Great thing is, we can still instance and quest together because it doesn't matter what level you are for some reason. I've yet to figure out how that works

And me and Robin just joined our first guild...to early to tell anything about how the people in there are, but the ones we talked with seems rly nice...from the ages of 21-50+ our guild leaders is around 40 years old so they know what IRL means and that people cant play all the time.
