Oh, them classes.

Hello,

Was wondering what class people would choose.
Personally I'm going Consular - Sage, basically cause I've always played as a healer and I love the healing mechanics of the Sage the most. Since 3\4 classes can be healers on each side, the choice got some difficult but oh well !
Also been thinking about playing Trooper, since obviously - there will be A LOT of jedi's \ sith's running around at first.

What are your Class?

Jedi Sage, only class that appeals to me in the entire game. Sith inqusitor if I really have to play Empire.

I don't know really. I'm more into casters and such. Jedi Sentinel looks interesting too...maybe. So far I find the classes so generic and bland. Yeah, I'm a fantasy fanboi, bear with me XD

At the moment I feel a bit like Acharial. So I'll investigate more before to prononce myself.

I must say that Jedi Shadow looks also interesting, especially the Kinetic combat path But Sage Seer is most appealing so far.

If Republic I want to be a Jedi Consular Sage Seer.
If Empire a Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer. Then I don't know if I'll be ranged DPS or Healer.

Gunslinger also sounds quite fun

1. Consular Sage \ Sith Sorcerer
2. Sith Marauder \ Jedi Guardian
3. Trooper \ Bounty Hunter.

I've take the freedom to allow "vote cancellation" in case someone want to change.
I've myself voted Sith Sorcerer because I'll certainly play that class together with Fredrik (as he really wants his bounty Hunter). And for a Republic character if everyone take the Jedi Consular, I might take a Trooper with a super big machinegun. I generaly enjoy that in futurist games.

Other classes are not interesting me for now. But it's a good idea to see some videos and trailers, because it give another perspective.

Either smuggler or consular, I'll have one of both either way.

Good ;> I just changed from Consular to Knight ^^ Guardian \ tank here I come !

You can also change in the official website too. It toke me some time to find, but I finaly got it.

This game is making it too hard for me to choose a class, and it hasn't been released yet

Thoughts so far;
1. Sith Warrior \ Jedi Knight - Tank or maybe dual wielder IF Empire ;>
2. Smuggler (Actually looks like a freaking awesome class)
3. Consular \ Sorcerer.
4. Trooper.
5. Bounty Hunter.

I must say that Scoundrel is very appealing to me right now after playing Star Trek Online

Just discovered there will have no dual spec, which is a tiny bit annoying. I usualy really love to heal in PVE, but dislike it in PVP. And I'd like to have a character with whom I can both PVP and PVE. This only will influence my choice, because I don't think i'll create a "alt" immediatly. i'll want to focus on one char at the time.

I don't really know how the game will be working, but hybrid spec are usualy not shining in Raid environement (so half heal, half dps might not work there), and after have seen a PVP video I really will not enjoy so much healing i believe (looked too slow).

So I wonder...mmmh...mmh...

I agree with your there Elloa. I usually hate being heal in pvp.

I was wondering about going Sage Shadow instead :p Or sumggler. Then I will leave my healer for a PVE server.

Problem is when you want to do both

I don't know what the guild will do, but I don't think Whitestar would ever be a full PVP guild. Atleast it's certainly not what I'd vote for. I like to pvp once in a while, but generaly I prefer PVE activities.
But that would be a discussion for another thread I guess

No dual spec = win

But you can change your advanced class though. BUT it's not cheap at all after 1 respec ;>

I've always enjoyed healing in both PVE and PVP , so for me it's not a problem ^^,

Yeah... I guess it leave me with 4 choices :

- Beeing main healer and avoid PVP (or learn to enjoy healing in PVP - which I've always find extremly frustrating because everyone is having fun killing other while the healer is just helping other having fun. Healing in PVP for me it's like to be punished.)
- Beeing a kind of hybrid viable in Raid and in PVP
- Beeing pure DPS (but i'm not sure of how I can have fun in raid as DPS, in WOW I've always find DPS a bit uninteresting, and difficult XD)
- Or have two character, one for PVP and one for Raid


Still wonder what I'd like the most. I'm intrigued by the Trooper Medic. I'd like to see a proper video about it.
Someone have seen one?

Haven't seen much of the Medic AC.

But I'd suggest level as a hybrid, healer \ dps. And at max level, see what you enjoy
