Weekly publication will allow us:

• To cover all news fast enough in a Flash news thread
  
• To have a regular publication, well known by the public. Every Monday they will have their news.
  

To have the extra article published when we want, will allow us:

• To not stress about a date, to be more flexible
  
• To be able to publish a long article concerning a special event right after it happened
  
• To encourage readers to follow us and come on our blog more regulary

Special edition
Special edition will be created in future if our Newspaper is succesful. Those special editions will be edited with lot of care on a PDF format, and will gather different longs articles.


Graphics – Style
Klaudyna and Michal have taken care of this, and have done a awesome work.

Focus
We will need to focus on the community. Not on us, and not on the game (well not directly). Our focus need to be the guild, the players, the events that happen on our server, and any other articles will be fillers. There is many very good fansite speaking about the games mechanics. But none for now is focusing on a "server" community. If we do this the proper way, we can have a lot of success.

Rubric – Subjects

Every Monday :

• Flash News : gather a serie of very short news (lenghts 2, 4 lines)
  
• The Image of the week : selected among the images send by the readers
  
• The Question of the week : a question asked to diferent random players. Can be about any subject

Other articles

• News : speak about an important event that happened
  
• Politics (monthly) : speak about the elections of the month
  
• Interview of player
  
• Presentation of a guild
  
• Adventure and explorations
  
• Stories/Comics

Library of articles

To help our organisation, it would be nice to have some articles written in advance. If one week we do not have the time to write as many articles as we should, or if there is nothing that happened, we will always have 1 or 2 articles in our reserve to help us.
If you have any idea, feel free to write something about it.

I think we can start with this. If we are enthousiast and motivated. If we have other writters joining us, we still can improve this Journal. But to start with, I belive it’s complete enough. Now we just need to do it, and to not fail.
I think we absolutely need to hold it for one full month (4 publications) even if we meet no success before to take a decision, changing model or anything else.
This Journal will also requiere us to promote it a lot.

Please, continue to share your ideas. This project is an ambitious project, and can be always improved !

I like the idea, but would like to suggest a title to the project:

Tera News or <server name> news, although we could always name it with the day of publication, in Portugal we have a "journal" that is always published on Saturdays and it's called "sabado" which means Saturday in Portuguese.

Klaudyna and Michal are currently working on our Newspaper design. As it will be a blog, the design is restricted by the blog structure.
They will propose something very soon.

For the first numero, I'll take in charge :

• Question of the month : How have you experimented Tera release? (That's my rubric, seriously I'm too enthousiastic about it)
  
• Guild of the Month : Sleeping Forest.
  I'll write the Sleeping Forest article in advance.

We need all help we can get! All feedback possible! Share your advice!

is there going to be any release parties like in other games?
if so we should speak a bit about how they worked out, it would mean some investigation work to find some articles about it.
Also it would be nice if we had a section with the latest patch notes.

Blog project

This is Klaudyna and Michal work so far. I'm really happy and exited about the result. Good job for both of you!


Concerning the layout:
I don't think we need to much "stuff" on the right page. I'd rather have more articles there too, if it possible.
Isn't possible to have the "archive", "about us" and "link" in the menu above?
to keep the two pages really focused on news and stuff like that?
What is your opinion about it?


Concerning the banner : really awesome concept. But while I found the covers perfect on their own, here put together, it look a bit messy, because of the background. I'd suggest to find a way to blurry the background, or make it darker, or whatever...so the character would be seen better.
Also maybe (but here I'm really not sure), have a different color theme for each. For example the Aman cover which is very red, with the purple Elf female, and the blue male castanic. Or something like that...


But once again, thanks for this amazing job!

I'm not too happy about the name on our new server.. might just be me though - there's just too many syllables in Samael or it just sounds funny.. samael times, samael news.. Not sure ''Sam'' would be better though.. suppose Samael news is good enough.. Aaaaanyway! that was not what I wanted to talk about.. ! I was wondering if we're going to make a comic section in our future magazine ? just an idea for later on
