How this forum is working ?

Hello everyone,

This forum is dynamic, it will evolve as our community will evolve.
Explanations.

If a subject start to have a lot of success, I'll create a sub forum dedicated to this subject. For example, if in the chit chat forum, we open several post speaking about cooking reciepe, I'll open a sub forum dedicated to cooking. if in the "Other games" forum you open a lot of post about Starcraft, I'll create a sub forum dedicated to Starcraft.
Same for a dedicated forum concerning a game, if a group or a guild is created that forum will become a category and will be sub divided in different forums. For example, the day we have a guild in Tera, or another game, the "Tera" forum will become like our World of Warcraft forum.

This work also in the other way. If a subject start to get less attention it will be reduced to a thread instead of a full forum.

I migth fix this, but not immediatly, because this will demand me to rezise a dozen of buttons one by one (there is not option to tab the text a bit on right) and as I've done it several times already to get a ok size, and it's a very very boring task to do, I allow myself a bit rest.
But yeah, it will be done sooner or later!

It might be nitpicky of me but...the color of the names in the online list are such that the orange of most members is barely visible against the grey background. Or it might be an issue just for me

Better in green ? (Though green have nothing to do with WoW as WoW game colors are yellow and orange, but as we have few groups for now, i'll put green for wow groups)

Notes : Each games wich have several post got their own forum (Guild Wars2, Minecraft, Rift, Tera) Other Game forum is used for all games which has only 1 thread, or for general discussions about games (for example : "Do you prefer WoW or Rift?" kind of discussions)
Some forum might be upgraded in a whole category if they get more interests. For example : Tera and Guild Wars2 might have a whole category for them and their own group once a Whitestar guild is founded and prepared, just like World of Warcraft category and forums.

29-07-11 NEWS

Hello everyone,

I've cleared the forum a little bit to adapt it to our new needs.

• In the Lounge, I've added a writting room for stories, fanfictions and open roleplay. Feel free to share your works and to participate to the RP.
  
• I've moved some thread in the public forums to increase the feeling of community beyond games and fruntiers.
  
• I've restructurated the Other Games forums, deleted dedicated sub forum to games that were unused. Intstead we have now a sub forum for non MMO games, a sub forum for MMO and a sub forum for screenshots and videos (home made only).
  
• The World of Warcraft forum will be restructurated soon : useless subforum will be deleted, and memories will be preserved
  
• Skype : We have a skype group. Contact me (Elloawendy) if you want to be part of it. We should have no more Tera discussion spamming in future as there is a skype group dedicated to Tera.
  
• Ventrilo : ventrilo server is still up. Feel free to use it.

Help is still very welcome, to make this place our own, bound poeple together in those times of departures, hollidays, and renewal. I really hope everyone will stay in touch, wherever and whatever they are doing in future!!

Update :

I've changed the permission of the Chat room, so only registred player belonging to a group (WOW, Tera...) can read and write, so no guest can read our stories.

Update :

I've reworked the forum lately, to have a nice multigaming platform.
I've added some new forums, changed the order of some forums to accentuate the fact that we do not play only one game, I've deleted the useless old WOW forums and put some order into it (all old threads can be found in Archive). Still need to work on it, but it's not a priority at the moment.

You can find a nice presentation of Whitestar and all games we are playing or are planing to play in the Infromations forums.

And last but not least, I've added a Section for Star War The Old Republic, with two forums, and it's own group.

The Calendar is back!!After have been useless due to the In Game calendar of World of Warcraft, the community splitted in different games, this forum calendar will be very usefull and convenient to not miss any guild event, whatever game we are playing!

How is working the calendar?

• Create your event! Every member can create an event. Do not hesitate to do it, our community need to be used again with the Calendar and signing system!
  
• Sign the events! Are you interested by that event? Show it by signing the event! Share your advice, give news if you can't make it, etc! Most important is to get used to the Calendar before itsuse will really become needed (once our future MMO are out)

New forum for recruitement had been created. Instead of apply for a specific guild, future new Whitestar need to apply for the community. Which make more sense in our case.

Created a private forum for our SWTOR guild. Public forum will be saved for our guild presentation, and public threads. All descisions and intern discussions, like our guild background, are now only avalaible for SWTOR sub group.

As Whitestar has become completly unactive in World of Warcraft for more than a year, and as it's obvious we will not go back as aguild in that MMO, I've removed the World of Warcraft forum and the WOW group.
Instead I've opened a new Category : Whitestar Memories that will serve us for our old and unactive projects. For now there is only the World of Warcraft forum with old Whitestar background and members stories.

I've removed all unactive users from their respective groups. They will have to contact us again if they want to be part of one of our project.

I've added Class forums for Tera. I'll let it sometimes to be active, but if those forums are unused, I'll just make 1 Class forum for all classes together.

The forum had been heavily transformed, and along the days it will also be cleaned from old threads.
The changes are not completely done yet, so do not be surprised. The new structure should be easy to understand, clearer, and more efficient.

As announced in the August News the forum had been revamped to reflect the changes in our community. It should be a nicer place to speak about any game you would like to speak about, share screenies, and find usefull information.
In addition I'll work to have clear information where to find each others : in which game, which server, which guilds etc...

The rank had been reworked aswell. However, those ranks are for now only a vanity as everyone have access to everything beside Archives and my Private Forum that are only accessible as Admins.
